Thank you for stopping by our website today. NKP Commandos was  created to provide
information about The Secret War and the contributions and sacrifices made by the personnel
assigned to Nakhon Phanom, Royal Thai Air Force Base. We have endeavored to  be as
accurate as possible through research, interviews and  published materials. We focused on a
period of time (1970-72) when NKP was at it's peak from a growth standpoint. We focused on the
primary units operating from the base during that period of time. In some cases, we did not
report on the smaller units supporting larger units. An example of that would be Task Force
Alpha (TFA) and the Igloo White program. There were specialized units under TFA that we did
not address specifically. As the information was entered into the website data base we
summarized the material and pointed to specific websites where more detailed information
could be obtained. Key word searches for specific information can also be conducted. Also, as
we completed the work on the website we were mindful that it should be as professional as
possible in appearance. We thought it only fitting that it mirror the professionalism of the proud
personnel who served at NKP. Also on our home page we added the logo for Air America even
though they were not resident as a unit during the period of our focus. But, they were in and
out of NKP on a daily basis, and when our people needed Air America's help in Laos they would
come immediately. We salute them. Just one additional thing needs to be expressed.  We do
not solicit, nor do we accept donations. We only provide information for your use and
enjoyment. Again, thanks for stopping by and please visit us again.
We have formed  a discussion group called Secret War Vets. It is a group that
discusses subjects of mutual interest and we also exchange stories and photos
about our experiences connected with the Secret War. Presently we are a small
group, but we want to grow. If you would like to participate, click the button to the
right and join now. We look forward to hearing from you
